Sisters Take Saint Augustine!

Every year, my sister and I go away for her birthday. This year, we chose Saint Augustine. We both love doing every touristy thing a city has to offer - museums, tours, etc. - so this was the perfect choice! Here is a list of things we did while there in case you want to visit!

Hotel

We stayed at the most beautiful hotel, Casa Monica. This hotel is not only gorgeous, but the staff is so helpful - shout out to the concierge for being amazing! It is also the PERFECT location. We were walking distance to everything, which isn't hard in Saint Augustine, but this really was a great location.

Activities

St. George Street - This is a walking only street where shops, restaurants and museums are located. We spent a lot of time on this street because there was so much to do!

Medieval Torture Museum - We visited a really creepy, but cool, museum on torture in medieval times. It was crazy to see some of these things considering IT REALLY WAS HOW PEOPLE WERE TORTURED! If you're into this stuff, GO!

Oldest Schoolhouse - This museum is in the oldest schoolhouse in America. I would say that if you arent into history, you may want to skip this. Its small, but there is a lot of history there that is worth seeing if you are interested.

Ripleys Believe it or Not - Enough said. Always a good time.

Oldest Jail - Ok this is so fun! The tour of the jail treats you as an inmate. A current "inmate" is your guide and explains life in the jail at that time. Very fun, and a lot of cool things to learn and see!

Fountain of Youth - THIS IS SO COOL!!! So much to see here, and do yourself a favor and drink from the Fountain of Youth. Fun experience.

Castillo de San Marcos Fort - If you know about St. Augustine, you have heard about this fort. A must do if you go.

Ghostly Encounter Walking Tour - Saved the best for last. I LOVE ghost tours and have been on a lot of them. But this was the first time we were in a group where multiple people caught things on their camera. It was INSANE!!!! Even me and my sister caught somethings and are sending them to the company to analyze. Please our guide was amazing! Do this!!

FOOD

Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille - We tried going here for dinner but the line was down the block! And they do not take reservations. So we ended up going for lunch and it was seriously delicious!! Go if you can!

Thai House & Sushi Bar - When we didn't get into Harry's we went here instead. You order inside and they bring your food to you. The sushi was really good and it was A LOT of food!

Pizza Time - This place always had a line out the door so we decided to try it. It was really good but beware - CASH ONLY!!!

Kilwins - I mean....DUH
